Big Horn River July Flow Increase

Over the last few days since they bumped the water from 8,330 cfs to 10,000 cfs the fishing has been good, not great.  The nymph fishing has been on and off.  One spot you get em another you don’t.  Fish hard, fish your bugs well and you will catch fish.  There has still been pods of fish up eating PMD’s on the surface each day as well.

This afternoon the flows went up again to 11,000 cfs. It will be interesting to see what this does to the dry fly action.

Effective Patterns:  Soft Hackle Sow Bugs, P tails, wonder nymphs, the worm, pmd sparkle duns
