Brown that fell for a trico cripple

While the calender says that it is fall, our indian summer continues.   With temperatures still reaching the 80’s the hoppers and tricos continue to bring fish to the surface each day.  Pods of fish eating trico duns and spinners in the late mornings has brought the best action each day.  I keep on hearing the comment this year…..”well it’s good to hear the trico emergence is coming back on the Bighorn.”  The truth is it is BACK!  The trico fishing the past two years has been consistent and great from the afterbay down to two leggins.

By the end of the week fall weather is expected to arrive and look for the trico hatch to come to end.  Expect the floating weeds to get worse as well.
