The mild weather continues (mild = chilly, but generally calm) and a nice midge hatch took off yesterday around lunch time providing some nice dry fly action. Lots of browns came up to snack on the hatch. They started off on individual adults but began taking multiple adults each rise as the hatch thickened.
Size 18/20 cdc transitional midge, sipper midge and smoke jumper worked well on the front end and griffith’s gnat and an adams midge worked well once they began to eat more than one at a time.
