Bighorn River Fishing Report It’s All Working

Streamers are working!

All modes of fishing are working well right now on the Bighorn. Nymphing is pretty steady all day long. The PMD hatch starts around mid day and continues into the afternoon. The Yellow Sallies start a little later but the hatches overlap so you can fish either or both. If you are in the right spot earlier, you may find fish up on PMD spinners.

There are so many small fish and fry in the river right now, throwing streamers in the morning while waiting for the hatch to start can be a fun alternative. Fish are aggressive towards lighter colored streamers.
