Bighorn River Fishing Update 10/23

It looks like we’re in for a major weather shift the next few days.  Our first snow for the season and cool temps are on the way.  This should help with the lake turnover we’re seeing in the river right now.  Despite the not so ideal water color, the fishing has been pretty good, for most.

Worms, Scuds and big Sowbugs are getting the majority of fish.  The upper 3 has the least amount of grass and expect more as you get below 3 Mile.  Fishing has been pretty good down there though.

The streamer crowd has had pretty good success on the Bighorn standards (Thin Mints, Grinches, Pete’s Buggers, Lil’ Kims).  SInk tips will help this time of year as water temps are starting to drop.
