Things on the river this year sure have been different. The past two days we have seen major emergences of tricos throughout the river. Fish have been keying in on the usual spinners as well as the duns.
Hopper fishing remains ok as does the nymphing. Locating gravel and finding where fish are amongst the weeds is the key. While the off color water may be somewhat intimidating to anglers used to the gin clear water typical of the Bighorn, the fish are still in likely spots. Keying in on the riffles is always a good place to start.
