In our bighorn river fly shop we carry many fine brands such as Patagonia, , Rio, Smith, Simms, Hardy’s and Scott Fly Rods just to name a few. Our fly selection is far and away the largest in the region with many patterns hand-tied by our very own staff of guides that tie flies through the winter doldrums. They tie thousands of dozens a year for the shop and they are some of the most effective patterns available.

Bighorn River Fly Fishing is somewhat unique in technique and some of our bugs are very specific and require patterns not sold many other places. Our shop staff are all local fishermen or guides and can inform you as to hatches and more productive areas and flies.

Montana has NO SALES TAX!!! If you are thinking about purchasing any gear prior to your trip please don't! Let us know what you need or are interested in. We will make sure that the items in the correct sizes are available for you to try upon your arrival. If you end up not wanting the item it is no problem at all. We will either sell it in the shop or send it back, it's really very easy for us (and we give great discounts to you for pre-order gear).
