PMD’s came off in droves on the upper river yesterday, they ate duns really well until about five in the afternoon. By the time they ended black caddis were coming off really well. The fish were really keyed into the pupas and then the fish ate the adults well on top before dark.
Lower in the river tan caddis dominated the fishing on top, with a healthy mix of black caddis thrown in as well. Hoppers have been working well from 3 mile to mallard’s.
On the nymph front fish are really starting to eat black caddis pupa throughout the river. PMD nymphs are still working great up top. Grey Ray’s and killerbugs have been working ok each day also. Any of our custom pheasant tail variations have been a sure thing throughout the river.
