PMD’s Emerging On The Bighorn

PMD’s Emerging On The Bighorn

Nymph fishing continued to be very good again today, the water temp’s have been just right and there is an abundance of food subsurface and fish are eating throughout the water column. Dead drifting nymphs along with swinging caddis or pmd emergers have both been effective.

The PMD hatch is starting to build and more and more duns are on the water and in the air.  There has been quite a few that have not been able to dry there wings and take flight so the fish have been keying in on the cripples. Look for the same cripples with the tiny blue winged olives along with spent spinners.

Towards the evening look for caddis activity to build and fish to key in on emerging pupa and skating duns.
