After a good morning of nymph fishing the wind began to blow in the afternoon and the hoppers came in droves. The wind blew numerous hoppers into the river throughout the upper 13 miles. The fish caught on in a big way and exploded on the large morsels. After relatively slow to non existent hopper fishing up to this point, the only question is are the hoppers here to stay or not. Only time will tell but the hoppers have now added to some already incredible match the hatch dry fly fishing.
