The first shipment of Sawyer oars arrived this past week. For those of you who have not yet experienced the pleasure of rowing a pair of Sawyers, you are missing out. The square top series is a revolutionary oar. Cataract and other composite oars are a thing of the past. If you notice in just about every guide boat on the Bighorn, or the west for that matter, the majority of them are using Sawyer Square tops. Why? The lightness coupled with powerful carbon fiber makes your whole day a lot easier.
We are currently stocking the Square top models with Shoal cut blades in the standard carbon wrapped shaft and the new Dyno X. The Dyno X features an ‘X’ pattern of carbon fiber down the oar shaft, so that it is not completely covering the wood shaft, but providing a more forgiving, flexing action without sacrificing strength. 9′ and 9.5′ lengths are now in stock at the shop so save on shipping and stop in!
