George From Calgary Lands One of Several Browns That Fell for a Black Caddis Right Before Dark

Over the past few days the Bighorn River has lived up to its reputation as one of the greatest trout rivers in world, even more so than usual.  Outstanding emergence’s of PMD’s and Yellow Sallies continue to bring amazing numbers of trout to the surface throughout the day.  The Black Caddis hatch continues to build in strength each day and is bringing trout to the surface in abundance each evening.  Throw in h0pper fishing that is picking up with the hot temperatures and you have the ultimate trout fishing experience. Simply dry fly fishing that cannot be beat.

The nymph fishing continues to be solid with sowbugs, pmd nymphs and caddis pupa and small streamers in neutral colors are moving quite a few fish as well.
