Bighorn River fly tying: Chocolate PMD nymph

Head Guide David Palmer ties a PMD nymph for the Bighorn River. PMD nymphs are typically dark brown or dark brown/olive. Trout in the Bighorn River love PMD nymphs as well as the adults. The adults hatch in the afternoon but the fish take the nymphs a number of weeks before the hatch starts and aggressively take the nymphs starting a few hours before the hatch shows itself
