Each guide is a highly accomplished angler and fly fishing instructor whose only goal is to ensure you have the fly fishing trip of a lifetime! Our guide service is also the most flexible in Fort Smith, offering half day, full day and twilight guided fishing trips.
BOOKING A TRIP
Our knowledgeable and friendly staff is here to assist you with every aspect of booking your trip to the Bighorn River. We can advise on lodging options, best times to come, transportation to and from Fort Smith, what to bring and anything else important to you when booking a trip. A few things to keep in mind: Booking early ensures there is lodging available during prime dates. Our lodge rooms fill up fast. Many of our guides are in high demand. If you want to fish with the same guide again, it is best to book them as early as possible. We do our best to accommodate guide requests, however our guides are booked on a first come, first served basis. All of our guided fly fishing trips are all inclusive; Each trip includes all of your flies, equipment such as rod/reel, waders/boots if needed, tippet/leaders and full day trips include lunch.

COVID-19 Cancellation Policy
If you have an existing reservation for 2020, and need to reschedule due to various reasons, you may reschedule either for this year or all of 2021. Due to the changing nature of this pandemic, a short term (week or so) heads up is about all we need at the moment. If you require a full refund of your deposit, there is a 10% fee our processor charges. We are trying to be as flexible as possible!

Our guided fly fishing trips are all inclusive and include all necessary flies, terminal tackle, equipment, lunch, water & soda, transportation to and from the river and of course expert instruction. Not included in the cost of a guide trip is your Montana fishing license and guide gratuities if applicable. We get asked quite often what is an appropriate tip? While any tip is greatly appreciated a standard tip is typically 15% – 20% of the cost of the guide trip.
Yes, absolutely! The Bighorn Angler team of guides are all patient, knowledgeable instructors who enjoy introducing others to the sport of fly fishing. Spending a day on the water with a knowledgeable guide will dramatically reduce the learning curve associated with learning how to fly fish. We also have all of the fishing equipment you will need for a day on the water.
