Bighorn River Fishing Update 7/23

It’s getting closer to ‘Go’ time on the Bighorn.  We’re seeing a few more PMD’s each day and a few Black Caddis.  The Summer crowd is here, but the fish are starting to eat big time!

The nymph bite has been steady throughout most of the day, but still a bit spot specific.  Carpet Bugs, Rays, Frenchies, Split Case PMD’s, Zebras and various Perdigons are working well.  Short rigs or long, they are all getting fish!

The word is out on the hopper bite and it’s been producing some big fish for us.  Once the hatches show up, expect the fish to turn their attention to the PMD’s and Caddis.
