- Spring
- March – Late May
- Spring Beatis & Midges. Low, clean, clear water. Outstanding nymph fishing , plenty of dry fly windows
- Late Spring
- Late May – Late June
- Transition to summer. Dry fly fishing is limited, but June is usually one of the best nymph fishing months
- Early Summer
- Early July – Late August
- Prime time on the bighorn. Good hopper fishing late June early July. PMD & Caddis hatches begin mid July. Fish don’t mind the traffic
- Late Summer/Early Fall
- Early Sept – Nov
- Solid tricos is the prime hatch for dry flyers. Terrestrials turn back on in Sept & Oct. Excellent Fall Beatis Late Oct-Nov. Streamer fishing can be fantastic.
- Late Summer/Early Fall
- Dec-Mar
- Solitude and solid fishing, particularly nymphing in deep, slow water
