Bighorn River Fishing Update 5/18

Bighorn River flows have stabilized at 4k CFS.  There was talk of going to 3500, but looks like they’re holding off for a bit.  The river is in great shape although there is just a bit of drifting moss below 3 Mile. It’s all fishing really well!

Our Spring Baetis have been a bit hit and miss.  We’re finding some good sized fish up later in the afternoons and the good news is they’re not too picky.

Nymphing has been very good this Spring and continues to follow suit.  Red or Pink bead Sowbugs followed up with a Baetis nymph like a Quill, MacGruber or Perdigons will keep fish in the net most of the day.
