Bighorn River Fishing Report 4/20

We’re in full Spring mode on the Bighorn.  People are out and about to experience some of the awesome Spring fishing we’ve had lately.  We’re just starting to see some Baetis get the fishes’ attention, and should turn the corner any time now to consistent dry fly fishing.

Nymphing has been the main game lately.  BIG Sowbugs (12-14)  – Tailwater Sows, Carpet Bugs, Cotton Candies, etc.  The fish are really starting to pick up on the Baetis nymphs in the afternoons.  Silver Bullets, MacGrubers, Quills and various perdigons are getting the job done.

Streamer fishing has been very on and off, which is typical for this time of year.

We’re fully open for the season offering shuttles, flies and good advice, so stop in!
