Bighorn River Update 8/11

Dry fly season is finally here!  We have a good mishmash of PMD’s, Black Caddis and even some Psuedos keeping fish looking up.  From sunrise to sunset, you can find fish on the surface.  There are an amazing amount of big fish in the system this season!

Nymphing has been excellent throughout the day.  Poodle Sniffers, PT’s, Carpet Bugs, Frenchies and a variety of other PMD nymphs are getting it done.

A few fish are still looking for the hopper but I wouldn’t rely on them too much.

It’s very busy out there, so please be mindful of other anglers and give everyone plenty of space!
