Bighorn Fishing Update 1/29

We’re stuck in the cold for a few more days but things should be back to normal shortly!  Fishing overall has been great this winter.  We’re seeing really good numbers of fish and a huge size variety.  From 12-22″, they’re all in the river.  It should be an excellent season ahead of us!

Standard winter fare as far as patterns are concerned.  PINK is our winter color along with little Midge stuff.  Cotton Candy, Jellybeans, Firebead Rays, Zebras, Carpet Bugs, Green Weenies and small worm patterns are consistently catching fish.

The Streamer and Swing guys have been successful with sink tips and little leech/bugger type patterns.

As always, stick to the slower deeper runs to find concentrations of fish.  We’ll be around the shop most mornings from 8-12 as longs as it’s not brutally cold!
