Bighorn Fishing Update September 28

I guess the best way to describe the fishing is ‘interesting?’.  Definitely a bit off and on right now.  Your best window is late morning till about 4 or so.  Don’t rush out too early, you won’t miss much!  We are getting some big fish and it’s great to see a ton of 10-14″ fish as well.  Grass is around throughout the entire river and is starting to let loose a bit with the cooler nights.

Still not much for dry fly activity.  A few fish on Tricos and Psuedos.  Nymphing has been the best bet still.  We’re finding fish stuffed with worms daily.  Squirmys, SJW’s, Wire worms trailed with a Frenchie, perdigon or Split case PMD has been our pick.

No signs of lake turnover yet, but we’ll let you know when it happens!
