Bighorn River Fishing Report 3/20/24

The Bighorn River is currently experiencing fantastic fishing conditions! With light crowds and clear skies, it’s a great time to be on the water.

Nymphing has been very productive, with sowbugs and midge pupae being the hot flies. Jellybeans, Cotton Candy, Carpet Bugs, Firebeads, Zebras, Green Weenies and various Perdigons are working most of the day.

And don’t forget the dry fly box! Quite a few fish have been actively feeding on rising baetis and midges.  It’s still going pretty steady and we haven’t seen it this good, this early for a long time!
