Bighorn River Fishing Report 7/3

Bighorn River flows have dropped to 2500 CFS as of today.  We should stay in this range for the rest of the Summer.  This is a great thing!  The water is cold and clear and setting up nicely for our Summer hatches.

A few PMD’s and Black Caddis have started showing up, but we’re a couple weeks out still for primetime.  You will find some fish up in the afternoons here and there to get your dry fly fix.

Subsurface our Bighorn fish are liking a variety of Sowbug patterns, Worms, Midges and the occasional PMD nymph.  We’re seeing a lot of fish in the shallow riffles so don’t overlook those areas!
