Bighorn River flows have settled in @ 2500 CFS the past few days.  Fishing remains pretty solid overall.  Plenty of big ones still filling the nets and smaller fish as well! It’s been a solid past few days on the Bighorn as fishing has stabilized and has been very consistent, especially for large fish.  Our guides are bringing in good numbers of fish as well.  Water temps are still a bit cooler but this is great news for the upcoming Summer. Read more...

The Bighorn has been very consistent lately.  Consistent in the fact that the fishing is great one day, then tough the next.  The good news is there have been more good days than tough ones.  It’s been busy out there as everyone is looking to land some of the beastly fish coming out of the river.  Read more...

Fishing is really starting to pick up on the Bighorn.  Flows are up to 3200 CFS as of this morning and the river remains nice and clear.  It’s getting a bit busier out there, but still plenty of good spots to get into fish.

The Spring Baetis are  starting to make a big appearance and we’re seeing more and more fish on them daily.  Read more...

Recent colder weather reminds us that Spring in Montana can be cruel.  It also can result in great fishing, which is where things are headed.  The Spring Baetis are slowly growing in numbers and along with prevalent Midge hatches, it’s getting closer to one of our favorite dry fly seasons of the year.  Read more...

Spring is finally here on the Bighorn.  It’s getting busier out there but the fishing has been very solid.  A bit more dry fly activity and great nymph fishing overall.

The Spring BWO’s are lingering around but haven’t really kicked off yet.  I’d say another 10-14 days, but who knows.  We just need water temps to jump a couple more degrees to the mid 40’s during the heat of the day and more bugs to get the fish looking at them.  Read more...

I guess Spring is here?..  The warm weather has brought folks out of the depths of winter and to the Bighorn.  A bit busy for this time of year on the weekends, but we’re not complaining!  Fishing has been pretty darn good if you’re in the right zones.  Many of the fish are found in their normal winter spots, although the water is a bit warmer than normal for this time of year.  Read more...
