Flows are on the way up to 7k CFS. Water temps have come up considerably as the BOR is releasing over the top of the dam. This has made for some really good fishing and will be even better when flows stabilize. Water is up again a bit on the Bighorn. Flows were increased to 3450 CFS a few days back in anticipation of the downpour. The rain showed up heavy and blew out a good portion of the river below 3 Mile. With the bump in flows, the moss got let loose a bit as well. Read more...
Bighorn flows are down to 2850 CFS and should stay that way for the rest of the Summer. Our snowpack got depleted quickly so that is the result. Water temps are in the low to mid 40’s, so wet wading is a bit tough. We’re starting to see a fair amount of drifting moss below 3 Mile. Read more...

Fishing is plugging along here on the Bighorn. Cloudy days have provided tremendous Baetis hatches in the afternoons with good numbers of fish up on them. There aren’t many fish up on the sunny days until evening hours.

Bighorn River Flows are up to 6000 CFS as of this morning. We were told 5500 was max flow from the Bureau, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. We’re not sure if flows will continue to rise, or what will happen.

River flows are now up to 4500 cfs as of Thursday afternoon. The water is looking great and the fish are spread out a bit more than before. There are still plenty of great wading options as well. The Spring crowds are arriving, but the fishing has been very solid!
